Finding details on the USWA "Puerto Rican Invasion 03" Tour has been impossible for  fans lately. In this exclusive article, details have been released, following a press conference with President  Bill  Dundee and other USWA Officials.

The tour will kick off on October 6th and finish up with a HUGE final day on October 11th in Cayey, Puerto Rico at  the  Pedro Montanez Stadium, A  large outdoor show to take place on our last day on the Island. We will present  five shows  during our stay on the island.

  • 10-6-2003 Naguabo, Puerto Rico Challenge and Velocity TV taping from the Yudelmi Center
  • 10-7-2003 Carolina, Puerto Rico Challenge and Velocity TV taping from the Roberto Clemente Sports City
  • 10-9-2003  Caguas Puerto Rico House Show. From the world famous El Gimnasio Bairoa
  • 10-10-2003 Humacao, Puerto Rico House Show. From Emilio E. Huyke Coliseum
  • 10-11-2003 Final Day celebration from Cayey, Puerto Rico @ the Pedro Montanez Stadium

Lots of fans are excited to see a special show from El Gimnasio Bairoa, a legendary boxing gym which has helped train famous Puerto Rican Boxers such as Miguel Cotto, Hector Macho Camacho, and Julian Solis.

Pedro Montanez Stadium will help send off the USWA in style. Rumors for that show have circulated that the recently announced Jr. heavyweight divisions inaugural champion could be determined on that show. The other major rumor going around the wrestling world, is that if Taz indeed does need to retire from full time competition, a new USWA champion could be crowned on the final day from Cayey.

The USWA has toured places like Japan and England in the past. We have enjoyed bringing in wrestling talent that have made a name for themselves in those historical places. The Puerto Rican Invasion tour will not be an exception to this rule. The USWA has teamed up with the World Wrestling Council (WWC) to help promote the week of shows. In cooperation with the WWC some of their talented roster will appear on shows and on the television tapings. Names that have been announced at the press conference include;

  • Carly Colon
  • Eddie Colon
  • Abdullah The Butcher
  • Pablo Marquez
  • El Bronco
  • Ricky Santana
  • Fidel Sierra

Abdullah the Butcher does have a history with the USWA, as he was contracted in 2001 and has teamed up with Vampiro in the past. Could these two team up again when the USWA makes their way to Puerto Rico? We are less than a month away from the start of the Puerto Rican Invasion tour 2003, and tickets are on sale now! You won't want to miss any of these shows when the USWA invades Puerto Rico for the very first time!

Ahmed Johnson grabs another victory in the absence of our heavyweight champion Taz. Another victory continues to keep Johnson in the conversation of  Heavyweight title contender.

Rumors are circulating that  Taz will soon be making a statement about his future in the USWA. Some are speculating that he is going to retire from active  competition. Some feel Taz is past his prime, and this is his third major neck injury in his career. We will know soon enough what the plan is for Taz.

Bad Intentions have been foaming at the mouth for another tag team title shot. With Kimo out of action, it's just making Anderson and Bernards blood boil even more. We have been told Kimo will be able to participate in the Baltimore TV tapings, and that tag team title rematch will take place in Puerto Rico.

The $20,000 battle royal has everyone in the USWA talking about trying to get into that match at the Mid South Coliseum. A victory in that match won't just get the winner a

nice paycheck, but a consideration at potential title matches down the line.

Raven and Konnan have been showing the world that they could be a dangerous tag team. Victories over Americas Most Wanted and The Bad Street Boys has them setting off on their journey in a positive light. Could these two be holding tag team gold in the future? We will soon find out!
