Halloween Havoc 2002

No-DQ-Handicap-Match: The Pain Game (Bull Pain and Ox Harley) defeated Samoa Joe when Bull Pain pinned Joe after the The Belly to Back Bulldozer Slam in 0:06:48. Rating: *** 1/4 [Raven interfered against Samoa Joe.] In our opening match, Bull Pain and Ox Harley along with Raven on the outside continuing to be a distraction was just to much for Samoa Joe to handle. The fans chanted for Jun Akiyama, but we all know he wouldn't be there. Raven and his hired guns were too much for Joe tonight. Interview: 2 Cold Scorpio makes his way to the ring. Click here to see highlights. Sean Waltman defeated Steve Corino by countout in 0:07:07. Rating: * 1/2 Sean Waltman gets the victory when Corino was sent out of the ring. Corino tried to get back in when someone from under the ring held onto his leg and he couldn't get back in time. We then see Steve Bradley roll out from under the ring as he celebrated his win with Waltman. 3 Way Dance: Chad Collyer won a 3 Way Dance: x C. Collyer defeated Fish after the Chaddo Clutch in 0:12:38 x C. Collyer defeated Styles after the Chaddo Clutch in 0:19:10 Rating: ***** Its our second 5 star match in the last few weeks and it blew away our show. Collyer will go on to a second 3 way dance in an attempt to get a shot at Scorpio's X-Title. Chad got the victory with his Chaddo Clutch pinning both Fish and AJ Styles. AJ shook Chad's hand after the match and wished him luck in his next 3 way dance match. Interview: Colt Cabana and Delirious backsage Click here to see highlights. Christopher Daniels pinned Val Venis with the Spicy Drop in 0:17:37. Rating: **** 1/4 (Christopher Daniels retained the Global Title.) A great title defense tonight as Daniels once again retains his Global title. Val gave Daniels all he can handle in a great match. After the match Daniels took the mic and proclaimed that the Global Title is on the same level as Taz Heavyweight championship! Steve Bradley pinned Jerry Lynn with the Smashmouth in 0:12:52. Rating: **** 1/4 Another classic, Steve Bradley gets the victory over Jerry Lynn in singles action. Braldey moves past Lynn in the X-Division and it looks like Waltman and Bradley get a clean sweep tonight at Halloween Havoc. Who will Jerry Lynn ask to be on his team next week in Nashville in the six man tag main event? Interview: Interview with Ahmed Johnson Click here to see highlights. Backstage: PG-13 talks tag team wrestling Click here to see highlights. Chris Harris and Bobby Duncum Jr. defeated Trevor Murdoch and The Sandman when C. Harris pinned Murdoch with the Catatonic in 0:14:43. Rating: *** It was a bloody brutal match, but Harris and Duncum were just to much for Sandman and Murdoch. It was obvious early on that Harris had his eyes on Murdoch from the very beginning of the match. Harris and BDJ double teamed Murdoc every step of the way, eventually Harris hit the Catatonic and gets the victory for him and Duncum. Ultimo Guerrero and Nigel McGuinness defeated South of the Border (Universo 2000 and Super Crazy) when N. McGuinness pinned Crazy with the Jawbreaker Lariat in 0:13:43. Rating: **** 1/4 (Ultimo Guerrero and Nigel McGuinness retained the Tag Team Titles.) A fantastic title defense for Nigel and Ultimo Guerrero over the up and coming South of the Border. A fast climb to the top of the tag team division for Crazy and Guerrero ends with a loss to the champions. Nigel and Guerrero looked like a cohesive unit for the first time in a long time. Interview: Raven Backstage Click here to see highlights. Backstage:: New Europe prepare for the title match Click here to see highlights. Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Vampiro pinned Jerry Lawler after a small package in 0:10:11. Rating: *** Vampiro gets the victory over Lawler when Raven made his way down to the ring and helped Vamprio lay a beating on The King. Lawler tried to fight a 2 on 1 here, but it was no use and Vampiro was able to seal up a victory. Raven raised Vampiros hand in victory after the match. Taz made Ulf Hermann submit to the Tazmission in 0:08:21. Rating: **** (Taz retained the Heavyweight Title.) In the first of our two main event matches, Taz made short work out of Ulf and made him tap to the Tazmission. Doug Williams was furious and after the match New Europe took the ring to try to attack Taz, but out comes PG-13 who stood at Taz side and no punches were thrown. PG-13 evened the odds New Europe left the ring in peace. Taz had a stare down with Wolfie D, who if you know the history of these two, you know they don't get along. Taz shook the hands of both members of PG-13 and then raised the title high in the air for everyone to see. Taz! Still the champion, and New Europe leaves Halloween Havoc with another loss! Cage Match: Low-Ki defeated CM Punk by escaping the cage in 0:34:05. Rating: *** In our Main Event of the night, Low-Ki evens the series with a victory over CM Punk inside the steel cage. A brutal match, but this means we are once again tied at 3-3 and we know that at A Night to Remember 2002, Punk will face Low-Ki in the 7th and deciding match for a chance to win this year long feud, and the winner having a Global title match! Card rating: *** 1/2 Match observations: Backstage: We just finished up Halloween Havoc, and all of our titles remained with the Champions. Some of the big news coming out of Havoc would include the new pairing of Vampiro and Raven. These two do have a history together as they were both part of a New Church stable back in 2001. Both guys left Havoc with victories over their opponents. Taz not only defended his title, but he really made Ulf look like someone who didn't deserve the title shot. Ulf Hermanns loss did not go over with Doug Williams, and Williams really resents the fact that New Europe leader Nigel McGuinness was not at ringside to help Hermann in this one. Only time will tell what the future of that stable will hold. PG-13 ran out to stop any 4 on 1 attack that New Europe had planned for Taz. All in all a bad night for New Europe. Low-Ki evens the best of 7 at 3-3 all. A Night to Remember will give us a winner and a number one contender to Chris Daniels Global Title. Val Venis had a hell of a match and Daniels respected the effort from his opponent. Velocity TV from Nashville is next week, along with our 2nd ever tv taping of USWA Challenge. Our Challenge Main event will be a rematch of our 5 star Konnan vs Doug Williams encounter. We will also have Ahmed Johnson, Raven, Pain Game, and Samoa Joe all in action. Velocity TV's main event will be a six man tag with Scorpio, Bradley and Waltman against Jerry Lynn and two of his hand picked partners. The second 3 way dance that will take place will be Cabana vs Latin Lover vs Alex Shelly in a chance for the X-Division title.
