Too Cold Scorpio pinned Steve Madison with the Flying Scorpio Splash in 0:09:26
.
Rating: **** 1/4
Before the match Too Cold came over to Dave Brown and told him that he not
happy that he isn't in the heavyweight title picture. He has waited his entire
career to step out of the X-Division shadow and make a name for himself. Dave
tries to calm Scorpio down and let him know that with the way he has been
conducting himself he can't imagine that a title shot isn't right around the
corner. Too Cold says he'll just have to take care of business the way he always
does. He then goes into the ring and makes quick work out of Steve Madison.
CM Punk pinned Bobby Fish after a clothesline in 0:19:12.
Rating: *** 1/4
In our TV Main Event CM Punk gets a victory over Bobby Fish. Current manager
and girlfriend of Global champion Low-Ki, Trinity came to ringside and looked
on. Fish didn't get the victory but it was obvious Trinity had an interest in
the match.

Latin Lover and Psicosis defeated Universo 2000 and Delirious when L. Lover
pinned Delirious after a slingshot in 0:09:34.
Rating: ****
PG-13 decided to sit at ringside with Dave Brown for this tag title match
and scout the competition.
Colt Cabana was in the corner of his friends Delirious and Universo 2000
for the match. With Latin Lover laying on the outside of the ring
after receiving a picture perfect drop kick from Delirious, Universo
hit a nasty closeline on Psicosis leading us to believe the end of the match
was near. On the way down to the mat Psicosis knocked into the referee.
Out from the back run Mexicos Most Wanted who cheapshot Colt Cabana, and
then steal a chair from ringside smashing it upside Delirious head, laying
him out cold. As Psicosis came too, he noticed a knocked out Delirious and
quickly covered him for the pin.
PG-13 got up from the announcers booth and exchanged words with Mexico's
Most Wanted as they made their way to the back.
Alex Shelley pinned Colt Cabana after a small package in 0:05:34.
Rating: *** 3/4
Colt Cabana took to the ring for his match with Alex Shelley, but after the
attack from Mexico's Most Wanted, he wasn't 100% going into this match.
Alex Shelley looked really good in this one taking a victory from Cabana after
a quick rollup. Shelley is trying to accumulate some X-Division victories
so he can be in the discussion of an X-Division title match.
The New Bolsheviks (Vladimir Kozlov and Alex Koslov) defeated
Mike Sharpe and Reggie B. Fine when A. Koslov pinned Iron Mike after a kneedrop
in 0:15:35.
Rating: ** 1/2
(Brickhouse Brown no-showed.)
A New Tag Team debuted with the USWA tonight as Alex Koslov and Vladimir Kozlov
bring their style of powerhouse and lightning speed to the USWA. They made short
work of Reggie B. Fine and Mike Sharpe tonight.
After the Match Dave Brown tried to get a word from them, but Alex told Dave
that they will not give a public statement until they have their representation
present!
Konnan made Mike Sharpe submit to the Tequila Sunrise in 0:01:28.
Rating: **
Konnan took to the ring for some action. During the match Dave Brown discussed
next weeks next weeks matches which will include a rematch of Mikey Whipwreck
taking on Super Calo, Jun Akiyama vs Jerry Lynn, and he just received word that
PG-13 will challenge Mexico's Most Wanted in tag team action.
By the time Dave was done promoting next weeks show, Konnan got the
victory in the ring.
Too Cold Scorpio pinned AJ Styles with the Flying Scorpio Splash in 0:07:52.
Rating: *** 1/4
Back from commercial break, AJ Styles and Too Cold Scorpio had just started
their matchup in the ring. Dave Brown explained to the fans how Scorpio has
been asking for a shot at th Heavyweight Title since the end of Christmas
Chaos, when he declared himself to be in the Heavyweight Division. Tonight
was a big step forward as he got a clean win over AJ Styles, former USWA
champion.
After the match Scorpio reiterated his desire to have a heavyweight title match
against Taz. I do believe that Scorpio has the attention of USWA management.
(Winner faces Taz at New Years Revolution):
New Jack defeated Shane Douglas by countout in 0:04:32.
Rating: *
In our Main Event of the evening we saw the return of former USWA Champion,
Shane Douglas. Taz came out to join Dave Brown at ringside for this matchup.
It didn't take long for these two to go at it, while Taz discussed reasons
that both of these men would be strong opponents for him at New Years Revolution.
not even three minutes into the match both men hit the floor. As the referee gets
near the 10 count, Jack rolls back in, but someone was under the ring and held
Shane Douglas leg, leading to him being counted out and New Jack getting the
victory and the shot at Taz.
Taz saw the entire thing take place and ran under the ring, with Shane Douglas
he pulls out the person that was under the ring. It was RAVEN! Raven punches
his way through Taz and Douglas and bails to the locker room.
After the match New Jack gets the mic and tells Raven that if he wants to get
involved in the matches so bad, maybe he should be in the ring. New Jack
challenged Raven to face him in the Main Event next week!
Samoa Joe pinned Mike Sharpe after an Aztecan suplex in 0:05:43.
Rating: ***
Samoa Joe started off Velocity in singles action. Dave Brown announced that
Samoa Joe will get the rematch against Jerry Lynn from their meeting on January
4th at New Years Revolution. Going into the PPV, Joe gets a win and looked great
in the ring. Dave Brown then tells us that Raven is backstage looking for New
Jack.

Christopher Daniels defeated Vampiro via pinfall in 0:07:21.
Rating: *** 3/4
Christopher Daniels gets a big victory over Vampiro. Trinity made her way down
to the ring and once again started taking notes on the match. This caused a bit of
a distraction for Daniels, but he was still able to get the pin on Vampiro.
After the match Daniels joins Dave Brown in the interview area and tells Dave that
he saw Trinity out scouting matches on USWA Challenge, and he doesn't know exactly
what she is up to, but he won't let her get in the way of his match with Low-Ki
on the Pay-Per-View. Daneils said he will have an equalizer at his side at New
Years Revolution to make sure Trinity doesn't get in his way!
Mexico's Most Wanted (Damien 666 and Halloween) and
PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D) went to a no contest
in 0:07:51.
Rating: ** 1/4
Before the match footage of last weeks Velocity recapped Mexico's Most Wanted
getting involved in our tag match with Lover, Psicosis, Delirious and Universo
2000.
This match was back and forth until Delirious and Universo 2000 hit the ring
and layed into Mexico's Most Wanted. PG-13 had to help officials restrain both
Delirious and Universo as Dave Brown sent the show to a break until they could
restore order.
Jerry Lynn pinned Jun Akiyama with the Cradle Piledriver in 0:10:03.
Rating: ****
In one of our two main event matches Jun Akiyama w/ Samoa Joe in his corner
took on The Highflying Jerry Lynn. Samoa Joe got on the mic and told Lynn that
out of respect he would not interfere in the match, but he wanted to be out
here to support his friend. Everyone agreed and the match began. Akiyama
hit some power moves early on, but Jerry Lynn turned things around in this match
around the 8 minute mark. Despite his promise not to interfere, Samoa Joe threw
a chair into the ring, and as the referee tried to get it out of the ring,
Joe went for a running clothesline on Jerry Lynn. Lynn ducked out of the way,
Samoa Joe hit Akiyama, and Lynn dropkicked Joe out of the ring, setting up
Akiyama for the Cradle Piledriver, and a hard fought victory.
Jerry Lynn told Samoa Joe that if he ever tried to interfere in his matches
again, he might end up a crippled man.
Sean Morley defeated Reggie B. Fine in 0:03:00.
Rating: 3/4*
Sean Morley had a chance to get some inring action tonight on Velocity.
Dave Brown ran down the card of New Years Revolution and mentioned Morleys
singles match against Ahmed Johnson at the show. Dave said that Ahmed had
some comments for Morley earlier in the day, and during the match ran a
brief clip of Johnson talking about how good they were as partners at Christmas
Chaos, they will be just as good of enemies when he heads to Chicago. Morley
made short work of Reggie B. Fine in this match.
Mikey Whipwreck pinned Super Calo with the Whippersnapper in 0:07:41.
Rating: ** 1/2
Before the match a package promoed Mikey Whipwreck getting the victory over
Super Calo in his return match to the USWA, and qualifying Mikey for the
X-Division tournament, The video also highlighted Calo's win over Matt Sydal
on Challenge, which led us to this rematch.
During the match Calo and Mikey had a few different exchanges, but once again
Mikey came out on top to the frustration of Super Calo. After the match both
men shook hands as Mikey moves up the ladder in the X-Division and gets a nice
payday for the victory.
Raven pinned New Jack with the Evenflow DDT in 0:07:45.
Rating: ***
In our Main Event Raven hit the ring and did exactly what he told New Jack he
was going to do. Unlike in Raven's past he hit the ring and beat the living
hell out of New Jack. Jack went at Raven with everything he had, but Raven is
such a master of mind games, and a pretty darn good wrestler at that. He was
able to hit the Evenflow DDT out of nowhere and get a win over New Jack.
After the match Raven took the microphone and said that he might not like Taz
as the Heavyweight Champion, but he refuses to let New Jack become the first ever
two time champion that this company has ever seen. Raven then tells New Jack,
good luck at the Pay-Per-View, and smiles as he leaves the ring.
Card rating: ** 3/4
Match observations:
Circuit Notes:
Tonights Velocity ended a long night of tapings for the USWA, as we are all
set up for the Pay Per View. Some say that Taz has an easy title defense on
his hands due to Raven getting the victory on Velocity, but if anyone knows
New Jack, they know that he can bring the fight any night of the week.
The X-Division Champion Steve Bradley had flight troubles getting to the
show and missed a large taping the day after his title win. This made for
a glaring hole in the last two weeks of television. We can announce that
Steve Bradley will put the title on the line in Chicago against Sean Waltman
in a rematch from the title tournament finals.
The USWA has hired a few new wrestlers strictly as Talent elevation. They should
be making their way into the promotion during our west coast tour in February.
The Christopher Daniels/Low-Ki title match should be very interesting to watch
as the months continue. Management has big plans for this ongoing feud.
Jerry Lynn/Samoa Joe and Jun Akiyama also could be a contniuing storyline in the
early months of 2003.
Rumor has it that all the former Heavyweight Champions will be on hand for the
heavyweight title match in Chicago on PPV. The question is, who is going to try
to get involved and can Bill Dundee guarantee this match will be fought to a
positive finish?
