V-TV Nashville, TN November 2nd, 2002

The Pain Game (Bull Pain and Ox Harley) and Raven defeated Samoa Joe, The Sandman and Trevor Murdoch when Ox Harley defeated Sandman by countout in 0:09:10. Rating: *** 1/2 Raven and his hired guns get a victory over Joe, Sandman and Trevor. Samoa Joe has yet to get one up on Raven. Ox Harley really took it to Sandman and just dumped him out of the ring getting the countout victory. Interview: CM Punk and Colt Cabana talk about their history in USWA Click here to see highlights. Ahmed Johnson pinned Bobby Blaze after a legdrop in 0:07:40. Rating: ** 3/4 Ahmed Johnson with another big victory tonight, beating veteran wrestler out of North Carolina Bobby Blaze. Ahmed made a phonecall to his "mentor" after the match. A very impressive second outting for the Pearl River Powerhouse! Interview: Latin Lover and Psicosis call out the Tag Champs Click here to see highlights. Interview: Val Venis challenges Ulf Herman one on one on Velocity! Click here to see highlights. Konnan defeated Doug Williams by disqualification in 0:05:15. Rating: **** 1/4 Our Main Event ended in a DQ when New Europe hit the ring. This was another fantastic match between two great wrestlers. One from Europe, one from Mexico. New Europe came out at the first sign of trouble and just layed out Konnan. Morley hit the ring and New Europe fled to the back. Morley helped Konnan to his feet as they had a stare down with New Europe on the ramp to end the show. Interview: Jerry Lynn asks CM Punk to be his partner in the main event Click here to see highlights. 3-Way Dance: Colt Cabana won a 3-man Battle Royal: x L. Lover defeated A. Shelley after the Magistral Cradle in 0:02:38 x Cabana defeated L. Lover after a moonsault in 0:07:19 Rating: **** 1/4 Colt Cabana gets the victory in this matchup, and now will fill the second slot in the upcoming 3 way Dance. Chad Collyer took the first, and we will have another 3 way next week on Velocity to detemine the third and final slot! Backstage: Raven and Vampiro Click here to see highlights. Low-Ki pinned Rik Ratchet with the Ki Crusher in 0:15:15. Rating: **** 1/4 Low-Ki coming off the impressive 6th match in the best of 7 gets a victory on Velocity TV. Low Ki looked into the camera after the match and said no matter the stipulation at A Night to Remember, he will be ready, and he has a surprise! Interview: Christopher Daniels challenges AJ Styles to accept a match Click here to see highlights. Bobby Fish pinned Delirious after a backslide in 0:02:08. Rating: ** 1/4 Bobby Fish gets another victory here on Velocity, and bounces back nicely from his loss at Halloween Havoc. Fish has asked Bill Dundee for a match at A Night To Remember, and his impressive singles record could put him in prime position to get a spot on the card. Backstage: Chris Harris discusses Americas Most Wanted Click here to see highlights. PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D) defeated Mike Lozansky and Justin Cage when Wolfie D pinned Cage after a power bomb in 0:20:05. Rating: **** 1/4 (Chad Austin no-showed.) Another big victory for PG-13 as they continue to gain momentum. The loss to South of the Border seems to be just a bump in the road on their quest to the tag titles. Harry Smith came out during the match to do commentary. Smith told the fans that PG-13 had no business coming out and protecting Taz at Halloween Havoc, and sooner or later Wolfie D and J.C. Ice will need to pay the price! Interview: Bill Dundee introduces Ted Dibiase and Harley Race Click here to see highlights. Chad Collyer made Alan Stone submit to the Chaddo Clutch in 0:11:48. Rating: **** 1/4 Collyer continues racking up victories and continues to submit his opponents with that Chaddo Clutch. Val Venis pinned Ulf Hermann after hitting him with the ring bell in 0:01:47. Rating: ** [Taz interfered against Ulf Hermann.] In the first of our double Main Events, Val Venis/ Sean Morley makes short work out of Ulf Hermann with the Help of Taz, Taz came out, threw the ring bell to Val, and Val clocked Hermann in the head when the ref was distracted for a quick 1-2-3. Harley Race was backstage watching this all go down on a monitor. Taz took the mic and told Ulf Hermann that if he wants a second shot at his title he is more than willing to make him tap one more time! Val Venis looks confused, takes the Mic and tells Taz, that HE is now the number one contender to the title and he wants a shot at the belt at A Night to Remember. Taz disagres and tells Val he's gonna have to wait in line. As Taz leaves the ring, Val takes the ring bell and takes Taz out as well! Harley Race runs out to check on Ulf Hermann, and Val just stands over Taz grabbing the Heavyweight Title and poses for the camera as we go to commercial. Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino and CM Punk defeated Too Cold Scorpio, Steve Bradley and Sean Waltman when S. Corino defeated S. Bradley by disqualification in 0:22:29. Rating: *** 1/4 In our MAIN EVENT Lynn, Cornio and Punk get the win in this one, but only because Steve Bradley took the X-Title and smashed it over the head of Steve Corino. The Ref called for the DQ and this one broke out into an unofficial brawl. A victory in the win column for Punk, Cornio and Lynn, but a moral victory goes out to Too Cold and his guys for another brutal attack on Lynn and his crew. Card rating: *** 1/2 Match observations: Backstage Notes: It looks like we have some confusion over who is going to get the Heavyweight Title shot at A Night to Remember, Ulf Hermann and Val Venis both feel they are the next in line for a shot, although both lost matches at Havoc, the personal attacks on Taz seem to be their "in" for goading him into defending the title once again. Ulf Hermann has drug Harley Race into this entire thing, and we have yet to hear if this was a plan that was brought up by New Europe or not. Lots of questions surround the Heavyweight Title. Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles will go at it at A Night to Remember for the Global Title. A lot of those in the company feel that might be the match to beat at the show. AJ Styles has never been Global Champion. Next week on Velocity TV: Vampiro and Raven take on Jerry Lawler and Samoa Joe, in a 3 way dance X-Title contender match Psicosis vs Delirious vs Waltman. We will also hear from Steve Bradley and much more! A Night to Remember matches announced so far.... (c) Christopher Daniels vs AJ Styles for the Global Title Best of 7 Match 7 CM Punk vs Low-Ki match stipulation has yet to be announced. We still have a few weeks to go, so look for more matches to be signed!
