HOUSE SHOW: Lebenon, TN 11/20/2000
The Nasty Boys and Brian Lee defeated America's Most Wanted and Ricky Morton
when B. Lee pinned C. Harris with the Prime Time Slam in 0:16:44.
Rating: * 1/4
The debut of Americas Most Wanted in a 6 man tag was not exactly how Harris
and Storm wanted it to be. The Nasty Boys and Brian Lee were too much for
the young kids tonight. Brian Lee was able to get Harris up for the primetime
slam and end their hopes of a sucessful USWA debut.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Jesse James and Tommy Rich battled to a draw in 0:10:00.
Rating: 3/4*
Two of the former USWA greats, Jesse James armstrong and Tommy Rich battle
to a 10 minute draw. A bloody battle between the two men. I expect these guys
to be in the ring again before the week is over.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Stevie Richards pinned Doug Gilbert with the Stevie-T in 0:18:08.
Rating: **
Richards gets a big win over Doug Gilbert with his Stevie T finisher. When
the match was over Richards got on the mic and said "quote the raven nevermore"
BUT WHEN??
No-Countout-No-DQ-Triangle Match:
Jerry Lynn defeated Paul London and AJ Styles:
x Styles beat P. London via the Styles Clash in 0:19:42
x J. Lynn beat Styles via the Cradle Piledriver in 0:23:19
Rating: *** 1/4
USWA promoters wanted to book a match that would have the crowd on their feet,
and they did exactly that. The new TV champion A.J. Styles, Paul London and
Jerry Lynn took this match to new heights. London was taken out with a
styles clash with 20 seconds until the bell would ring. Lynn and Styles made it
to the 20 minute time limit, but the fans PLEADED for 5 more minutes! They
got their wish and in the end Lynn's cradle piledriver ended this match.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
The Lions Den (Doug Furnas, Ken Shamrock and Phil LaFon) defeated
Taz, Brian Lee and Jimmy Del Ray when Shamrock made J. Del Ray submit to
an armbar submission in 0:17:31.
Rating: * 1/4
(Tom Prichard no-showed.)
This was the first time Shamrock and Taz were able to meet inside the ring.
Tom Prichard missed his booking, and Taz took the mic saying that he knows
the big man is probably tired, but the only SOB he wants in his corner is
Brian Lee. Lee came out, and the match was on. Shamrock went to town on Jimmy
Del Ray and made him tap to the armbar. Shamrock is a badass, but so is TAZ
who was so pissed at Del Ray that after the match he choked out his own
partner! TEAM TAZ left the ring with a new riot breaking out.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Jeff Jarrett pinned Brian Christopher with the Stroke in 0:10:59.
Rating: * 1/2
Jeff Jarrett captures a win over Christopher, which was started because of
the entire debacle on TV earlier this week. A very clean match, with Jarrett
getting a clean win.
13-Man Battle Royal:
Tommy Rich won a 13-man Battle Royal:
x Wolfie D threw out Lawler after a punch in 0:02:58
x S. Bradley threw out Wolfie D after a bodyslam in 0:11:43
x Rocco Rock threw out Grunge after a kick to the midsection in
0:14:38
x Shamrock threw out Shark Boy in 0:18:17
x J.C. Ice threw out R. Morton in 0:20:01
x S. Bradley defeated J.C. Ice after a frog splash in 0:20:37
x Rocco Rock defeated RVD after an inside cradle in 0:21:33
x Rocco Rock threw out Richards in 0:21:42
x S. Bradley threw out C. Daniels after a top-rope inverted DDT in
0:24:58
x Rich threw out Shamrock after a dropkick in 0:25:24
x Rich threw out Rocco Rock in 0:26:38
x Rich threw out S. Bradley in 0:26:50
Rating: ** 3/4
The BIG DON wins the 13 man invitational battle royal. These Battle Royals are
so popular on the house show circuit. The biggest shock of the royal was Rocco
Rock throwing out his own partner Johnny Grunge! Rocco had a bunch of eliminations but Tommy Rich took out Shamrock, Rocco and Steve Bradley in the end to capture the victory.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
The Sandman pinned Shane Douglas after a dropkick in 0:09:10.
Rating: 3/4*
The Sandman gets a pinfall victory in tonights Main Event to send the crowd
home happy. Douglas was not happy with his loss, but he knows he didn't hav
what it takes to beat Sandy on this night. After the matchup Richards cam
to the entrance ramp and smiled at the victorious Sandman.
Card rating: * 3/4
