With a lot of blood spilled, and medics having to come to the ring and
take Dusty out of the arena in an ambulance, Rhodes fulfills his destiny and
he is the 2001 King of the Death Match. Dusty was in tears as medics cleaned
him up and took him away. The fans loved it and this final matchup was a
classic for sure.
Colt Cabana and CM Punk took their feud to the next level. Some are saying
with Punks victories all weekend he might be in line for a heavyweight title
shot. Punk and Cabana trained in Chicago under Ace Steel, and tonight it
proved that they are 2 of the best in the company. Cabana beat Don Frye, who
in turn beat the formerly undefeated Jun Akiyama, but in the Death Match
ANYTHING can happen.
Also impressive CM Punk eliminated New Jack to win the C Block. A crazy
tournament here in the USWA.
