Spring Break Tour Pittsburgh, Pa 4.08.01

Interview: Shane Douglas defends his title reign Douglas comes to the ring and says he is SICK of people calling him a weak champion. He has a legit injury and has still been on the road at every show, every tour for this company. Before the injury he was defending the title night after night against number one contenders, and Dibiase was sticking his nose in his busniess. Shane is almost ready to make a return and he will defend this title at the end of the tour! The Can-Am Express (Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon) defeated The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags) when Furnas pinned Knobbs with the Frankensteiner in 0:11:44. Rating: * 1/2 Can-Am Express gets a win over The Nasty Boys. The Nasty Boys have told the office this will be their last tour with the USWA for now, but they want a chance to take on all the teams, and remind them just who the first ever tag champs were. They couldn't get it done against Furnas and Lafon. Steve Corino pinned Sabu with the Dragon Suplex in 0:10:30. Rating: ** 3/4 [Tazz interfered against Sabu.] Steve Corino gets an upset victory over Sabu, with the help of Tazz. Tazz came in and beat the hell out of Sabu, he wants Sabu to know that he cant wait to get his hands on him. Low-Ki pinned Too Cold Scorpio with the Ki Crusher in 0:09:07. Rating: *** 3/4 Great match between these two stars. Low Ki gets another win over a bigtime name Too Cold Scorpio. Scorpio is trying to move up the rankings, but With this being Low Ki's first tour, he has everyones attention. Reckless Youth pinned Ricky Marvin after a bodyslam in 0:13:48. Rating: *** 1/2 (Reckless Youth retained the X Division Title.) A good defense of the X-Title for Reckless. Ricky Marvin had the big win with the top contenders match, and he came out here and showed he was deserving. He took Reckless to the limit, and Reckless said he would be happy to give him a rematch any time. Ricky said he will accept that, but under his rules! Interview: AJ Styles has a message for Tazz Styles comes out and tells Tazz that last night was the hardest match he has ever competed in since he got here in the USWA, and he understands why he is a top contender to Douglas title. He wants Tazz to accept his apoligy for the interference in his title match against Jarrett. Tazz music hits he comes to the ring and chokes out AJ! Tazz does whatever he wants to ANYONE he wants. He doesn't need anyone! The fans were totally mixed on this, because they love AJ, but they are starting to get behind Tazz. Michael Shane pinned Super Crazy with the Picture Perfect Elbowdrop in 0:11:06. Rating: *** 1/2 The Picture Perfect elbow drop gives Shane the victory in this X-division match. Shane is another young lion trying to get his name up the ladder. CM Punk and Raven defeated The Pitbulls (Pitbull 1 and Pitbull 2) when Punk pinned Pitbull 1 after a pumphandle tombstone in 0:12:05. Rating: *** 1/4 A Big victory, and some payback for Raven. Pitbulls interfered with Raven a few weeks ago, and tonight Punk and Raven come back with a win, and stay in contention to the tag titles. Alexis Laree has really helped out Raven as of late. Tazz made Batista submit to the Tazmission in 0:14:39. Rating: *** WOW, the momentum Tazz has been bringing to the ring as of late is something you can't describe. The best thing going for Shane Douglas right now is his injury, and he isn't facing Tazz, because I don't think anyone can beat him! Tazz beat AJ Styles, and now the man who is getting praise all around the country Batista. Not only did he win but he has choked out both of them! Card rating: *** 1/4 Match observations:
