Spring Break Tour Allentown, Pa 4.09.01
Interview:
Sabu and Tazz fight in the Locker Room
The show starts off hot and heavy as we have a camera showing Tazz and Sabu
fighting it out in the locker room, in the end Sabu takes a fireball and
throws it at Tazz, word from the trainers is that Tazz has 2nd degree burns
on his hand and is BANNED from being in the matches tonight.
Demolition (Ax and Smash) defeated The Pitbulls (Pitbull 1 and Pitbull 2) when
Smash pinned Pitbull 2 with the Backbreaker in 0:10:14.
Rating: * 1/4
A surprisingly decent matchup between these two. The Demolition continue to
be a ruthless team in the USWA. They are so strong and tonight they took on
another one of the STRONGEST teams in the USWA the Pitbulls. The Demolition
continue to climb the ladder in the USWA.
[X Division Match]: 3-Man Battle Royal:
Low-Ki won a 3-man Battle Royal:
x London defeated Michael Shane after the London Calling in 0:04:56
x Low-Ki defeated London after the Ki Crusher in 0:08:26
Rating: *** 1/2
Low Ki once again picks up a victory in the X-Division. This kid has to be on
the mind of Reckless Youth. He also has to be on the mind of any wrestler
that has full status in the company. I would not be surprised if Low Ki throws
out a Young Lions challenge soon.
Super Crazy pinned Ricky Marvin with the Spider Bomb in 0:13:49.
Rating: **** 1/4
A WILD Lucha matchup with Super Crazy coming out the winner. Marvin is still
young and hes seen a lot of victories early. Today he took on one of his
mentors and he took him to the limit. Nobody can question Marvins skills, but
he just needs that little something more to make it to the next level.
Too Cold Scorpio pinned Jerry Lynn after a flying cross body press in 0:06:23.
Rating: ** 1/4
Good match, and a big win for Too Cold. Jerry Lynn has not been the same after
his feud with Tazz, thats something that Sabu, AJ, Jarrett, Batista and anyone
else in Tazz path needs to look out for. Lynn went from a top contender, to
an older guy trying to keep his spot in this company.
Sabu pinned Cibernetico after a legdrop in 0:11:15.
Rating: * 3/4
Big win for Sabu, not having to watch his back knowing Tazz is not allowed
in the building helped a lot. Super Crazy has asked officials to get a match
with Sabu in the future. Sabu wants to take on International wrestlers and
make a name for himself, in other words, he is doing everything in his power
to dodge TAZZ.
AJ Styles pinned Steve Corino after a spiral tap in 0:04:22.
Rating: *** 1/4
After Corinos big wins AJ Styles took on Steve Corino. Corino wasn't up for
the task and fell to AJ. Word going around the locker room is that Styles would
want a match with Low-Ki on the tour, to see if he really has what it takes
to compete. AJ wants to take on the best competition until Shane Douglas makes
his way back.
Brian Christopher pinned Jeff Jarrett with the Tennessee Jam in 0:06:44.
Rating: ****
Great match between these guys, but there was PLENTY of interference with
Batista trying to take out Christopher. Americas Most Wanted came down and
took out Batista, and that let Christopher get the win. Christopher said he
would give Jarrett a rematch, but he doesn't want to deal with all the
interference so he wants it to take place in a cage!
The Can-Am Express (Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon) defeated
The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) when LaFon pinned Hawk with the
Cobra Clutch Suplex in 0:11:38.
Rating: * 1/4
Can Am Express with an UPSET? These guys have had a pretty decent tour with
wins over The Nasty Boys AND now the number one contenders the Road Warriors.
Can the Road Warriors recoop from this? Do the Can AM Express get a title match
in the future?
Card rating: ** 3/4
