CM Punk Interview
CM Punk comes out to talk with Corey Maclund about his USWA career. He says
that he is one of the top contenders to the heavyweight title, but he is
still considered a young lion. He says that he knew he was going to be
a legend in this company the day he went nose to nose with AJ Styles in
Jacksonville during the spring break tour and tore the house down.
He knew he had the eye of the legends when Stevie Richards was ousted from
Ravens side, and Punk was brought in under his wing to learn. He then realized
he is the greatest X Divison champion in the titles history when he defeated
Tom Carter, and Michael Shane, and Cabana on several occasions. His appearence
at the KOTDM couldn't have written a better story. He would be in the finals
with Dusty Rhodes and have to share the lime light with Colt Cabana his arch
rival. Cabana is someone he has had to share the lime light with ever since
they trained together. CM Punk says the next step in his career is to win a
Young Lions Challenge and compete on the next level!

as king, and an end to his career.

Match observations:
Notes from the Backstage:
Ultimo Dragon and Volk Han had decent Dark Matches and the company is happy
to bring them in.
Look for CM Punk to get a HUGE push now that he has proven that he can go.
Vampiro will miss a few weeks of action, but should be cleared to compete in the
tournament.
Doug Furnas has given notice, so the Can Am Express tag team will be breaking
up in the future, but Phil Lafon will continue to compete in the USWA under
his Dan Kroffet persona.
