Superstar Bill Dundee makes his way back home!

Eveyone is aware of the past Bill Dundee has with the USWA. He made his name in the Memphis wrestling spotlight in the late 60's early 70's and continued to wrestle into the late 90's, but with the new generation of USWA talent, Dundee's roll is best suited behind a desk. We believe that is why he was picked by Owner Jeff Jarrett to become the new USWA President, when Lawler stepped down. So Far Bill has had a hell of a run in the last couple weeks. He announced a cage match between Punk and Low-Ki he made Lawler/Vampiros match falls count anywhere at Halloween Havoc, and is currently making Too Cold Scorpio's life a nightmare, continuing to make him wrestle on every USWA show leading into A Night to Remember. We don't know what else Dundee has in store for the USWA, so we will all be watching close!

Contract Time!

It's never a fun time in a promotion when you know one of your big name workers is headed toward a contract negotiation, but that is the situation as we close out the 2002 calendar. As you know the USWA has enjoyed some major sucess with it's relationship with both Konnan and Vampiro being in the company. Vampiro signed a longterm deal back in June, but since the USWA has been running so many shows and tours his appearances have been maxed out and he will be looking to renew after the November 30th TV taping. Not only Vampiro but Konnan, Chris Harris and Super Crazy as well. Then right around the corner will be a sit down with Raven. All of these wrestlers have meant a lot to the USWA, and hopefully we can resign them all. Konnan and Vampiro are both major signings because without them, the Lucha relationship could be strained in the future. With rumors of a Mexico tour next year, it is important to have both of them on board.

Christmas Chaos 2002

We are quickly approaching Christmas Chaos 2002 which will take place in our hometown of Memphis, Tennessee on December 29th. The card is currently being put together but we do know some things to expect!

  • Low Ki vs (c) Christpher Daniels USWA Global Title on the line
  • Rumor coming out of the Nov. 23rd TV tapings is that New Europe has challenged Taz to a 5 on 5 War Games match!
  • We can also announce exclusive to the website, Raven and Vampiro will team up as they face Samoa Joe and Jun Akiyama!

12 Exclusive Shows from the Mid-South Coliseum in 2003!

This announcement will be discussed in more detail when the State of the USWA is given by Bill Dundee right here on the website, but we have been told that the USWA will be holding 12 NON TELEVISED USWA events from the Mid South Coliseum in 2003. These shows are going to be for training and elevating talent, along with bringing in some of the Mid South Legends. Bill Dundee has announced he will even wrestle on the first show! These events will not tie much into the main USWA shows, which will include 5 PPV events, Velocity TV every week, or Wrestling Challenge. Results of these shows will not be posted on any of the TNM message boards, they will be exclusive to website viewes and those that attend the shows at the Colisuem. The USWA has expanded so much, and we knew that renovations to the Coliseum were happening, this is a way for the USWA to stay loyal to our roots in Memphis!

3 Sucessful Title Defenses and counting

After defeating Ulf Hermann by submission at Halloween Havoc, that makes Taz 3-0 while putting his USWA Heavyweight Title on the line. Vampiro, Harry Smith and Ulf Hermann have all been victims to Taz.

Althought the biggest news coming out of our heavyweight champion is the fact that he seems to be adding more and more friends by his side. The man who needs nobody seems to have lots of help from guys like PG-13 and Sean Morley. Although some may say the only bond all these men have are a mutual hatred toward The New Europe faction, others may tend to think we are seeing a more fan friendly Human Suplex Machine as we go into 2003. We will find out in the coming weeks who Taz will defend the USWA title against at A Night to Remember!

Low-Ki and Trinity are reunited!

It was A Night to Remember for Low-Ki as we saw the return of his beloved Trinity come to the ring and attack CM Punk, helping Low-Ki move into the number one contenders spot to Christopher Daniels Global title. I think everyone was shocked to see Trinity back in the USWA. She made her debut last year when she got into a scuffle with Jackie, who was the girlfriend of former USWA wrestler Brian Christopher. After a few matches she was caned in the eye by The Sandman, when Sandman teamed with Raven to help Raven protect the heavyweight title. After that feud she disappeared from the scene and when Low-Ki and CM Punk were put into the Lord of the Ring event last May she was gone. It's been almost six month of Low-Ki and CM Punk going back and forth with eachother and it all ended at A Night to Remember as they finished the best of 7 series. A returning Trinity threw an axe kick to the head of CM Punk and ended his dreams. Low-Ki with Trinity back at his side will now face The Fallen Angel Christopher Daneisl for the USWA Global Title at Christmas Choas!

(Heavyweight Champion: Taz) (Global Champion: Christopher Daniels) (X-Division Champion: Too Cold Scorpio) (Tag Team Champions: Nigel McGuinness and Ultimo Guerrero)
