I'm Lance Wright and THIS is HYPE CENTRAL!

Minneapolis, Minnesota is getting ready for their first ever USWA show! The USWA has been all over the country in 2002, and we're only getting bigger. Although most of the hype is centered around our first ever Pay-Per-View event A Night To remember, we can't forget about Halloween Havoc, October 27th.

Updated Card as of 10-26-2002

Steve Bradley vs Jerry Lynn

Fresh off our first ever USWA Challenge show, Steve Bradley has challenged his former running mate and former X-Division champion Jerry Lynn to a 1 on 1 meeting at Halloween Havoc. This will be the first major show that Lynn isn't taking on Too Cold Scorpio. Scorpio and Lynn battled all summer long in matches that fans are still talking about today. They traded the X-division title around on a few occasions, but now the first ever USWA X-Division champion Steve Bradley will challenge Jerry Lynn in Minneapolis! Bradley made it known in Milwaukee his feelings on Jerry Lynn, and his thoughts on his former friend. Jerry Lynn responded to the challenge and we will get a chance to see these two X-Divison former champions square off at Havoc!

Taz vs Ulf Hermann

With Taz defending the heavyweight championship against the largest man in the company, nobody can say he is dodging opponents in the early stages of his first Heavyweight title reign. He made that statement even more clear when he took on Harry Smith for the title the night before Havoc! New Europe has been on a mission to collect all the titles the USWA has to offer and at Halloween Havoc the biggest man on the team has a shot to take the biggest title in the company. The epic stare down in Green Bay has everyone in the USWA on the edge of their seats waiting for these two to go at it one on one in the Havoc main event. Ulf has stayed away from Taz since New Europe lost to Taz and Val in a 2/3 match in Milwaukee. That hasn't stopped him from preparing for his first ever title match, and Taz hasn't shown us that he is willing to back off on this challenge.

Ultimo Guerrero and Nigel McGuinness vs South of the Border

Ever since Universo 2000 and Super Crazy decided to team up and compete in the tag team division, they have been on a roll. They won the Battle Royal in London and then they have moved their way past PG-13 to get a chance to beat the team of McGuinness and Guerrero, who are more often than not, always on the wrong page. Guerrero and Nigel were forced to team when some shakeups in the USWA went down in the spring, and these two were crowned the USWA tag team champions. Can the cohesive unit of Crazy and Universo 2000 come away with the gold at Havoc? In the last month Guerrero and Nigel have finally gotten a chance to work in the ring together and try to get their timing right and become a well oiled tag team champion machine. They didn't pick each other to become tag partners, but as holders of the titles, they need to do whatever it takes to continue to hold the gold. Chemistry is the missing ingredient in this team. That's something that Universo 200 and Super Crazy have going for them. They have been a great tag team since they got together in July, but do they have enough chemistry to take the tag team gold off the champions?

Low-Ki vs C.M. Punk #6 in best of 7

Currently this series is led by CM Punk 3-2. Match number 5 took place in Madison, WI on October 19thunder Dog Collar rules. CM Punk will take the momentum and the chance to win the series into Halloween Havoc! Punk had a heart to heart with one of his good friends Colt Cabana in St. Paul making some in the USWA think he has doubts about his ability to win the big matches (kind of like our current heavyweight champion Taz had his entire USWA career.) Can CM Punk go into Havoc with a clear head and beat Low-Ki? Our new president Bill Dundee has made this a cage match, as according to the contract every match must be some type of stipulation. We will find out tomorrow night the future of this best of 7 series!

Vampiro vs Jerry Lawler -Falls Count Anywhere

This feud has finally reached a point where a wrestling ring might not be enough to contain these two superstars. Jerry Lawler who has been the USWA president for almost 2 years has given up his position so he can get into the ring with Vampiro.

This all started on the UK tour in Manchester during Vampiros title match against Taz. Jerry Lawler announced they would have a special enforcer at ringside to stop anyone from interfering in the match. Due to the recent history of the heavyweight title matches. At Heatwave, Taz first title shot, Vampiro came in and attacked Taz during the match. A match that cost Taz the title.

During a blood feud stretcher match between Konnan and Vampiro in Chattanooga, Taz runs in and attacks Vamprio causing Konnan to win the match, and the exodus of one of the most hated managers in USWA history Vic Quinonez.

At Locked up Lawler made sure this wouldn't happen again, and made the New Jack/Taz title match a cage match. This did stop Vampiro from getting involved.

Vampiro would get his first title shot at Taz in Manchester, and when Jerry Lawler named himself the special enforcer with Taz winning the match clean via submission in the ring, this changed Vamprios course and he has since put all his anger and frustrations out on Lawler. Nobody will forget the brutal beating Vampiro put on Jerry in London, sending Lawler out of the company for almost a month while he heals from his wounds.

Lawler made his return on October 19th in Madison and challenged Vampiro to a match that night. It was an all out Memphis style brawl that couldn't be held in the ring. Lawler got the upper hand when he threw a fireball in Vampiros eyes, blinding him and then continuing to lay a beating on him.

Bill Dundee has been brought into the promotion to take over the duties as President as Jerry Lawler returns to full time wrestling. His first big match will be at Halloween Havoc when he takes on Vampiro in this fall count anywhere NO count out, No disqualification match!

Chris Harris & Bobby Duncum Jr. vs The Sandman & Trevor Murdoch

This will be a battle between four men with a mixed history. Trevor and Harris used to be stable mates, but when Harris turned his back on James Storm, and then beat him in a loser leaves town match on the UK tour, Murdoch was kicked to the curb as Harris then aligned himself with one of the more powerful men in the USWA, Bobby Duncum Jr. The Sandman and Murdoch have a little bit of a past when Murdoch first arrived on the scene back in July, during a match with Ulf Hermann, Sandman came down and helped beat the crap out of Ulf. Trevor gave Sandman a new singapore cane at Heatwave and the two had a mutual respect, until Trevor went on to align himself with AMW. With Storm gone from the USWA Trevor really is a man on his own. The Sandman is almost the same way with the Pitbulls no longer being employed here, and his regular tag partner 2 Cold Scorpio aligning himself with a group of X-Division friends, Sandman has joined forces with Trevor to extract a little revenge on Harris and BDJ at Halloween Havoc!

(c) Christopher Daniels Vs Val Venis- Global Tittle Match

With the September debut of Val Venis in the USWA, he has really made a nice impact on the heavyweight division. His only bump in the road so far was a match with Ulf Hermann back in Green Bay. He made enemies quickly when he gave Ulf a hell of a run in his match, and New Europe needed to come down and attack him before things got out of hand. In Milwaukee when it was announced Taz would face New Europe 1 on 3, Val came out and took sides with Taz. Although Taz didn't need his help, he respected him stepping up.

Another man who made a quick impact when he came back to the USWA was current Global Champion Christopher Daniels. Daniels was injected into a big feud with Konnan and Vampiro upon his arrival. Something he didn't ask for, but with a few upset victories his career was off to a fast start. He commented that Val's quick rise in the USWA reminds him a lot about his first month in the company.

Daniels asked for and received a match where he will put his title on the line against up and comer Val Venis. Can Venis shock the world the way Daniels did? We will all find out in 24 hours!

AJ Styles vs Chad Collyer vs Bobby Fish

This match has just been made in recent weeks when AJ Styles complimented Chad on his wrestling ability. Bobby Fish has been quiet as of late, but other than his debut loss he has quietly racked up wins against some of the lower level talent here in the USWA. One victory that impressed AJ was Fish's victory over Chad Collyer in Madison. Bill Dundee acted very excited when Collyer came up with the idea of the 3 way, and everyone who knows Billy Dundee knows that he is up to something. We don't know right now what that is, but we do have a feeling that this match might have more to it than meets the eye. Hopefully we will find out at the show what Dundee is thinking.

Sean Waltman vs Steve Corino

Both of these men have arrived on the scene to compete in the X-division, but they have aligned themselves on opposite sides of the table. It seems as if most of those X-division members are either allied with Too Cold Scorpio, which is where Sean Waltman lies, or they have taken up sides with Jerry Lynn. Sean Waltman came into the company during the London show as he shocked the world becoming 2 Colds corner man in the towel match. Waltman has a bitter history against Jerry Lynn on the indy circuit when they both started their careers. In the past month, Waltman has made it clear that he isn't just here to renew a feud with Jerry Lynn, but he wants to compete with the best the USWA has to offer in the jr. heavyweight division.

He won't have a problem there, and his first opponent is Lynns good friend Steve Cornio. Steve Corino was a former tag team champion with Jerry Lynn back in June of 2001. Corino is also back on the scene in the USWA, but for how long we don't really know. We do know that he has promised Lynn he will watch his back for as long as it takes to get past this new faction of 2 Cold Scorpio, Sean Waltman, and Steve Bradley.

Samoa Joe vs Pain Game (Ox Harley and Bull Pain)

Samoa Joe, who is good friends with former Heavyweight champion Jun Akiyama has been harassed for the past few months by Raven. Raven wants Joe to get Akiyama to come back to the USWA in order to challenge him to a match. Two former heavyweight champions going at it is the only thing Raven can think of in order to get him back in the heavyweight title picture, and revive his career.

Joe did make an attempt to get ahold of Akiyama back in Green Bay, but it was of no use. For his trouble Raven hired the IWA-Mid South contingent of Bull Pain and Ox Harley to give out a little pain of their own to Samoa Joe.

This didn't go over well with Joe and he has agreed to take on Ox and Bull Pain 2 on 1 at Halloween Havoc, he has stated when he is done, he's going to bring the fight to Raven like he has never done before.

That's the card for this upcoming weeks Halloween Havoc! Don't miss it! Not only will you get 10 huge matches, but we know that X-Division champion 2 Cold Scorpio and newcomer Ahmed Johnson will both be in attendance. Plenty of can't miss action as we head into November and present our grand daddy of em all A Night to Remember 2002!
